The Book of Eli Movie Review

The Book of Eli directed by Albert Hughes was an interesting blast from the past and an insightful view on how life could be.  Old traditional values were lent by Eli (Denzel Washington) and were followed because people did not know any different, which is what we lack today.  The older generation represented by Eli (Denzel Washington) was guiding generation next represented by Solara (Mila Kunis) through prayer, rituals and survival tactics which were greatly necessary.  If we keep focusing on things that do not matter because we are spoiled beyond our means, money will become meaningless as it will continue to fall in value to the Euro.  In place of the value of money lessening the barter system which was depicted will be implemented as a means to get by.

The Book of Eli was the rival between good and evil, the driving force of power, and obtaining the control factor of the mass majority.  “Stay on the path, it’s not your concern” was a quote that registered with me because we tend to better other people lives and loose focus on our goals and dreams.  We alter and sacrifice when sometimes we can’t gain those same opportunities again.  Our expiration of our calling fades no matter what we are all blessed and here for a purpose.

Some just get defeated by a setback and others will not accept it and press harder for success.  In life it is always a key battle of the strong versus the weak and no one can take away your knowledge or accomplishments.  You will always have a choice which will determine your destination and knowing is only half the battle.  Belief and faith will assure you that with passion your gift should not be left in vain.  If something is your heart it will keep ticking and it will become apart of you and never fade until your mission is complete.
